Labeled the people's theologian, J.G. Vos devoted his life to teaching the Bible and classic Reformed theology for the sanctity of the church and the salvation of the lost. He was an astute thinker with an equally natural penchant for folksy humor.
Vos developed these 'Studies in Romans' during his pastorate in a Kansas farming community. His message lays out the plain meaning of biblical texts for the common man to learn, master, to love, and to obey. When biblical texts seemed to allow different interpretations, he would give a well-studied account of the textual reasons for the divergence.
