Job Description: Order Fulfillment (Full Time) 

 

Reformation Heritage Books (RHB) exists to glorify God and strengthen His Church around the world through the publication and distribution of biblical, Reformed, and Puritan literature at affordable prices. 

 

Working in the fulfillment department at RHB in Grand Rapids, MI, you will be part of a team, led by the Fulfillment Manager that plays a critical role in: 

  • Efficiently and accurately pulling orders from our picking room and warehouse locations 
  • Processing orders prior to shipment to ensure accurate order fulfillment 
  • Emailing order-related updates to customers as needed 
  • Accurately checking, weighing, packing, and labeling orders 
  • Moving completed packages into shipping containers and carts for our carriers 
  • Engaging with shippers (US Postal Service/FedEx/UPS) 
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment 
  • Assisting in the upkeep and general housekeeping of the warehouse 
  • Assisting in other departments as assigned by your manager 
  • Maintaining, restocking, and organizing warehouse inventory 
  • Safely operating pallet jacks and hand trucks in a warehouse environment 

The successful applicant will need: 

  • A love for good books and an engagement with the mission of RHB  
  • A motivated and positive attitude 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • An ability to multitask, problem solve, and work independently and within a team 
  • Proficiency in using computers 
  • Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift in a warehouse environment   
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.

Job Description – Bookstore and Coffeehouse Assistant (Full-Time)

Reformation Heritage Books (RHB) exists to glorify God and strengthen His church around the world through the publication and distribution of biblical, Reformed, and Puritan literature at affordable prices.

The RHB Bookstore and Coffeehouse is a retail store and coffee shop, located within our headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It exists to serve our local customers, customers visiting us from other regions, and representatives from partner ministries and publishers.

Reporting to the Administrative Director the person in this full-time role will:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, both in person and over the phone
  • Process customer transactions
  • Develop knowledge of Reformed and Puritan authors and literature
  • Seek to cultivate relationships with customers, local pastors, and other sympathetic organizations
  • Create merchandise displays
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of counts and locations
  • Ensure that cash drawers and cash deposits are correct and secure
  • Perform daily cleaning of the store and public spaces to ensure a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist marketing team in curating content for bookstore-specific posts on social media
  • Assist with special events and external book tables as needed
  • Perform coffee and other custom drink preparation
  • Follow best practices and comply with all local ordinances relating to food storage, preparation, and cleanliness.

A successful applicant will:

  • Have experience in retail/and or hospitality services
  • Possess a calm, friendly, and engaging manner
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, the ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
  • Have a love for Reformed books, and a desire to get them into the hands of as many people as possible for their benefit and God’s glory.
