This is a great little book on that subject, which puts to rest claims by old-earth believers and Theistic evolutionists that the church fathers did not believe in a young earth. There is less than a page on the Early Church Fathers, but the Reformers were just Later Church Fathers, and the title shows that their views are the main topic. The genius of this little book is that it is very affordable and takes so little time to read. I bought 10 copies. Two of those copies went into my two preaching pastors' mailboxes. One of them has already thanked me for that content. Dr. Beeke has an honorable reputation in the Reformed Camp. This gets pastors to at least give him a chance to present his case. All my relatives interested in theology are getting the rest of those books I ordered. I recommend getting one for your pastor(s) and some extra to give to friends/family. I wish Dr, Beeke would write another little book on the Early Church Fathers with more detail on their views.

This is a summarized treatment of the subject, very handy for busy people. I manage a large book table for a creation science organization that meets monthly. I have re-ordered this book for sale at our meetings. Some of my customers have already run into pastors who tell them that young earth views are modern conceptions, not believed by the church fathers. This author also gives an overview of the church fathers in this little booklet. Beeke is a rare bird among reformed theologians. May his little book give pause to more of his fellow theologians!
