Krummacher, Friedrich W.
The bodily resurrection of Christ from the dead is the fundamental basis of Christianity. "If Christ be not risen from the dead," exclaims the apostle, "then is your faith vain." This one miracle, well sustained, bears, supports, and accredits all the others to which the gospel bears testimony; and it stands still, and will continue to defy, every assault. This companion volume to "Suffering Savior" by the renowned German reformed pastor is an in depth collection of his insight of what happened from the Resurrection to the Day of Pentecost.
Friedrich Wilhelm Krummacher (1796-1868) was perhaps the greatest preacher on the continent of Europe in the middle years of the nineteenth century. He was the minister to several churches in Germany during the 1800s.
