Description

In The Gospel and Personal Evangelism, Mark Dever reminds the church that our evangelism must be a God-given commission and method, using a God-centered message, and driven by God-honoring motives. We are encouraged to honestly, urgently, and joyously tell the good news about Jesus. Dever confronts our basic excuses for not evangelizing, and addresses our common mis-conceptions concerning evangelism. By the Spirit's grace, this book will leave readers expressing an evangelistic zeal characterized by using the Bible, living a life to back it up, praying, and doing all for the glory of God.

Endorsement

"Mark Dever’s personal devotion to Scripture has led him to think deeply, read widely, preach clearly, and write simply to the great blessing of the body of Christ. Evangelism is the church’s mandate, and the one reason the redeemed are still on earth. Doing it effectively requires doing it biblically. Mark teaches us how to mobilize our churches to do just that." - John MacArthur, Pastor-Teacher, Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, California
