Calvin, John
Dr. John Kennedy of Dingwall, Sermon Notes 1866-1874
Out of print Tentmaker edition.
Dr. John Kennedy was one of the foremost ministers and preachers in Scotland during the nineteenth century. Known as "The Spurgeon of the North" he spent most of his adult life in what was his only pastorate in the Highland town of Dingwall, where he was the Free Church minister from 1844 until his death in 1884.
The material in this volume has been transcribed from a notebook of Dr Kennedy containing handwritten sermon notes covering the period from 1863-1874, the first half of which was published by the Society in the volume: Dr John Kennedy of Dingwall Sermon Notes 1859-1865. THis material has never been published previously and it provides a fascinating insight into the mind of this renowned minister of the gospel.
