Adolph Saphir was converted from Judaism during the Free Church of Scotland's nineteenth-century mission work to the Jews. This book presents eight lectures he gave on 1 Corinthians 2, showing Saphir's high valuation of our Messiah.
He writes in the preface: "May we daily know love and follow Christ Crucified. To bring things to Him is our peace; to bring Him into all things is our task. To trust in Christ crucified, and to be made conformable unto His death, is the whole of Christianity."
