Born in 1635, Wilhelmus à Brakel was one of the most influential theologians to come out of the Dutch Further Reformation. His greatest contribution as a leading theologian of that period was his magnus opus, The Christian's Reasonable Service, from which these pages are drawn.
À Brakel here turns his attention to the question of whether or not we might in our day expect the redemption of the Jewish people. He reasons through key passages to bring the reader to the conviction that Scripture furnishes us with every hope for the ingrafting once more of the physical descendants of Abraham and encourages the church to make such a restoration a matter of prayer.
