The 163 lessons of this tear-off pad correlate with and are based on the 163 Lessons of the Teacher's Commentary on the Bible, Volume 1, Old Testament and Volume 2, New Testament by J. Douma and J. P. Tazelaar, published by Reformation Heritage Books and Free Reformed Publications, 2008.

The purpose of these activity sheets is to rehearse and reinforce the contents of the Bible lessons, pointing to appropriate Scripture passages, and using a variety of simple teaching strategies, such as filling in the blanks and true or false questions. The "What Do You Think" questions are intended to make the student reflect on the Word of God as it comes to them from the Bible lessons and to apply these personally and to their own situation. 

The underlying teaching strategy is to draw the student into the Scriptures, so they will acquire experience and proficiency in looking up Bible passages and knowing its contents. THese activities are therefore suitable for a fairly wide age span and may be adapted to varying levels of Bible knowledge.
