The Canon and Inspiration of the Holy Scriptures are subjects of the highest importance to every Christian. If one book of the Canon is given up, how shall any other be retained on the authority of that Canon? If God is not the Author of them, in the fullest and most complete sense of that term, we cannot receive them as the Word of God. The Scriptures plainly assert their inspiration.
