Twenty-five sermons preached at Jireh Chapel, Lewes from 1894-1896. In his discourse upon Luke 18:16, this gracious gospel minister exhorts "Repent, said the Saviour, the kingdom of God is at hand. No earthly call will turn a sinner to the Lord. Witness! ye believing parents, will all your advice admonition and prayers turn your children to the Lord ? No! The call of these persons to Christ is from heaven; it is not of a carnal nature; it is divine. There are calls in Scripture which sinners refuse, but when with effectual calling He calls souls, they will not refuse then."
