David B. Calhoun has brought together a beautiful book that tells about Bunyan’s life as well as analyzes his books, his theology, and his place in history. Included are summaries of The Pilgrim’s Progress, The Holy War, The Life of Mr. Badman, and other of Bunyan’s writings. In addition, Calhoun provides an annotated bibliography for further Bunyan studies, as well as two useful appendices on Bunyan sites to visit and how The Pilgrim’s Progress has since been adapted for children.
