Caleb never really wanted to be a shepherd. But when he rescued a newborn lamb from a tangle of thorns and was given it as his own, he feelings began to change. As the lamb grew, Caleb came to feel a special affection for it. In the end, he owed his life to the lamb. "Caleb's Lamb" is a gripping, humbling read, with surprising twists, all designed to promote a deep sense of appreciation for the principle of substitution. Read this book with your children, and use it to teach them the gospel.
Author Helen Santos married a Spaniard, had three daughters and lived in Spain for twenty years. After Helen lost her husband in a tragic car accident, she and her three daughters returned to England for a new start. It was after the conversion of her eldest daughter at the age of seventeen that Helen also came to know Christ. This was the time in her life that Caleb's Lamb was written. Helen now has thirteen grandchildren and is very active in church life. One of her greatest joys is telling children about Jesus.
