How We Choose Books
The staff at Reformation Heritage Books judges the literature that it publishes and carries according to the Reformed doctrinal standards of the Three Forms of Unity and the Westminster Standards
Our basic criteria for our books are:
- Does the book honor the Triune God of the Old and New Testament Scriptures and seek to promote only His glory?
- Does the book uphold the principles of worship as explicitly detailed in the Bible?
- Does the book promote the centrality and inspiration of Scripture?
- Does the book promote thankful remembrance of the work of Christ by upholding a day set aside and owned solely by God?
- Does the book honor and promote the roles of the family, church, society, and government as set forth in the Scriptures?
- Does the book promote the welfare and life of man?
- Does the book honor and promote God's design for marriage between one man and one woman and also the chastity and purity of the believer?
- Does the book set the mind and affections on the pursuits and desires of heaven?
- Does the book seek to tell all things in a truthful and charitable manner?
- Does the book seek the benefit of the believer by furthering and promoting his advancement in godliness and holiness?
While this list is not exhaustive, it does provide a framework by which we can judge a book to be faithful to the Scriptures and the honor of God.
